video wallpaper gets overwritten

when i select a video wallpaper it appears for a split second and gets overwritten by a blank wallpaper
i have mpvpaper install and added to exec
it works when i run "~/.config/hypr/custom/scripts/__restore_video_wallpaper.sh" in terminal
it also works if i set the wallpaper and restart the system, but it goes back to the blank screen after you change the wallpaper

adding this to hyprland.conf seems to fix this issue
exec = ~/.config/hypr/custom/scripts/__restore_video_wallpaper.sh
