App appears stuck when importing Takeout folder #9433

After using Import > Google takeout > Select folder, nothing seems to happen (i.e. The Google takeout modal is still visible) for about 20 minutes until the "Import to existing album / Create new album(s)" modal appears.
This gives the user the impression that the process fails silently, while it actually doesn't. Imo, the UI state should change to indicate what is going on for these 20 minutes.
I have about 500 GB of takeout data to import.
