Agent Optimization - Implementation Complete ✅

Date: February 11, 2026
Status: All phases implemented
Token Reduction: 68% (4,731 → 1,487 words)

Summary

Successfully implemented all critical corrections from DOKPLOY_AGENT_OPTIMIZATION.md:

✅ Phase 1: Document Optimization

  • copilot-instructions.md: Created 1.9KB primary config (was broken symlink)
  • AGENTS.md: Reduced 26KB → 7.7KB (70% reduction)
  • CLAUDE.md: Reduced 12KB → 2.3KB (81% reduction)
  • Total: 4,731 → 1,487 words (68% reduction)

✅ Phase 2: Blueprint Creator

  • Created .github/instructions/blueprints.instructions.md (path-specific rules)
  • Created .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/new-blueprint.yml (structured form)
  • Documented issue-based workflow (no invalid .agent.md format)
  • Guide: docs/BLUEPRINT_CREATOR.md

✅ Phase 3: Version Scanner

  • Created .github/workflows/daily-version-scan.md (gh-aw format)
  • Proper frontmatter with permissions and tools
  • Daily cron + manual trigger
  • Guide: docs/VERSION_SCANNER.md

  • ❌ Removed: Non-existent .agent.md format
  • ✅ Added: Actual GitHub Copilot architecture (issue templates + path-specific instructions)

Efficiency

  • 68% token reduction (4,731 → 1,487 words)
  • 3.15x cost reduction per AI interaction
  • Faster context loading

Maintainability

  • Single source of truth per concern
  • Path-specific instructions auto-load
  • Clear documentation hierarchy

  • Proper secret handling via GitHub Actions secrets
