Integrate in React with real time two-way communication

Hello, I've put the compiled version of Ketcher into my React app through iframe because I couldn't use the React module and I'd like to know how I can sure that if I draw a molecule in Ketcher, the string in the text input field would also get updated, because I want to be able to search molecules in a database based on a smiles string or the sketch in Ketcher. Is there a way to make Ketcher and text input field connected?
