Again about Loading Data From File

We already discussed that couple years back and corrections to it were promised.
Today I looked at it and found the same confusing text.

Again there has this confusing word "offset" heck knows what meaning.The dictionary confuses even more, offset is either " offset, bias, compensation, satisfaction, indemnification, reimbursement, indemnity, or displacement, removal, dislocation" :)

So does it mean that the file contains 80000 of some unknown units of unknown format containing unknown items in unknown order
or
the first 80000 units of unknown format in the file have to be omitted and EPOCH will start reading the rest of file ?

And how we have to count these bytes if in a week or year we forget what was in the file? Are we robots to read, remember and count bytes? May be allowing both ASCII and binary data would be more intuitive at least initially?

But the most confusing is that since particles are characterized by the name, weight, position and speed (temperature)-- absolutely confusing is how they have to be placed in the file? in what order ??? To which specific grid positions they will be placed?

What was added there is an "excuse me" comment in red which can be only interpreted this way:
"Sorry guys, though EPOCH is Fortran project but no one here knows Fortran so we can not provide any explanation for this block and any examples. And we do not know the difference between binary and unformatted, so many languages are around " :))))

Sorry for the rant, I already wrote several times that the description of EPOCH is the hellish things I ever tried to read. It became better lately after adding user friendly introduction for starters, but still because of its enormous size 10x the size of "War and Peace" there are still a lot of places not touched by the common sense
