How can I tweak with the markdown syntax?

Is there anyway to tweak the appearance of the markdown syntax highlights? Right now my code blocks are harder to recognize since there is no border or a different background color to differentiate it, while the are hidden. Also, not sure if I should create another discussion to this one, but is there any way to add additional code blocks highlights like tsx?
