Incorporate key community plugins such as templater

Hi all,

How challenging is to have a plugin such as templater or dataview incorporated? For instance, to make a template such as:

<% tp.date.now("YYYY-MM-DD") %>

I'd be happy to contribute in this direction. However, I am quite new to lua, neovim, and js.
