Multilevel BOM requires intermediary parts to be already in stock

Hello,

Sorry if this is my oversight or misunderstanding, I am new learning the system.

I created a BOM with 6 parts. Let's say part1 part2 part3 ... 6. These 6 parts are also items with BOM's. When I create a workorder for the parent BOM and try to allocate inventory, it won't let me, because Part1 does not exist yet.

Is there a way to exclude these middle stage parts from the required BOM items?
