I really like the idea and implementation.

However, I would prefer it if it could be extended to the 100 Hz and possibly 10 Hz ranges. Especially with SSB, this type of tuning is quite effective, without having to constantly access the menu. Older, analog transmitters in particular aren't always on the right frequency and are prone to drift...

It already works down to 10Hz on SSB. Other modes do not work with such small steps due to limitations of SI4732

Ups... Ok, you are right. I haven't test it with SSB but with AM.
I'm just not used to the resolution differences between SSB and AM or FM or whatever on an SDR. So, it never occurred to me to actually test it on SSB...

Hi Max,
One minor observation is that if the tuning step was set to 25Hz and you enter direct entry mode, the 5Hz digit may remain set.
This is not really an issue and once returning to VFO mode, further tuning will align the frequency to the step size.
I am not sure what the actual resolution is for the BFO, although you can enter an offset in Hz, I do not think the DSP resolution will match.
As previously stated, the accuracy of the frequency synthesis in the SI4732-A10 is a little dubious.

The direct entry mode has short press (0.5 sec) shortcut that aligns frequency to the currently selected digit.
