I have recently updated from v1 to this v2:

• amplifier for the headphones port (noticeably louder, you can also use some bigger outside speaker).
• built in speaker is tad better (more bass, loudness is rather the same),
• It seems to have a little bit better reception of weaker FM stations indoors (but still nothing special).
• screen & speaker is glued to the case (in v1 after removing the screws you can easily extract every part) but on the other hand battery & speaker cables are not soldered to the main board, there are outlets in place.

What I did not liked are changes to the case (especially those red prints but I removed them with a nail polish removed, kept only the AMNVOLT on the front).

That's a matter of personal taste. I, for example, really like the red on black, and the WAF is also significantly higher ;)

The one with the chevron stripes around a silver tuning knob might actually be the V3. Supposedly this one differs by having the Hi-Z circuit built in.
