For now there are two possible steps in SSB mode:
Some users complained that it is not so convenient to do the press+rotate movement, so I just added the Seek menu that will use a faster tuning step on SSB while the menu is active. A test build is available here https://github.com/esp32-si4732/ats-mini/actions/runs/14748116464 Right now I'm working on the direct frequency entry feature that will simplify the tuning process a bit more. What you are suggesting is basically adding some acceleration to the encoder. I plan to experiment with it in future to see whether it is practical or not. |

Repeated turning the knob in SSB bands is quite tedious especially with small steps which are essential for proper CW and voice reception. It may lead to finger fatigue and encoder wear. What do you guys think about changing "seek" to "shuttle" in SSB bands? It could start with 50 Hz step and 5 inc/decs per second changing gradually with every encoder tick up to tuning speed of about 10 kHz/s.
Edit: should "seek" really have a timeout?
