How to use with python venv?

I have Esphome cli installed in venv in same directory as all my .yaml's - can I configure this extension to use this instead of global system settings?

That's a python/vscode question.

I guess you can try starting vscode from the venv with the code command.

That worked for me. I'm using ESPHome installed with Homebrew (macOS). Homebrew installs ESPHome in a venv. Setting the python.defaultInterpreterPath to that venv works. This is my .vscode/settings.json for reference:

    "files.associations": {
        "*.yaml": "esphome",
    },
    "python.defaultInterpreterPath": "/opt/homebrew/opt/esphome/libexec/bin/python3"
}

A nice enhancement would be an extension specific config variable(s) to set the python interpreter path or to specify the path to the esphome executable.
