After the build , error dialog comes that serial port port not found and after clicking ok no new dialog box opens up to assign the serial port (IEP-1726)

Serial Port Not Found in Espressif-IDE

This is a known workflow issue in Espressif-IDE where the serial port needs to be configured before or separately from the build process. Here's how to resolve it:

Assign the Serial Port

1. Click the gear icon next to the launch target dropdown in the IDE toolbar.
2. This opens the ESP Target configuration dialog, where you can select the serial port for your device and specify the ESP board.
3. The plugin will automatically detect serial ports connected to your machine. [Connect Your Device]

If your board is connected and the OS recognizes it, the available COM ports will appear in the drop-down menu. If you have a devkit with more than one port, make sure you select the one recognized as USB JTAG/serial debug unit. [Flashing the Device]
