Disable step counter to save battery?

Hello,

I installed a clock face that has Clockinfo as a dependency.
Even though I uninstalled the Health app, I was able to see the number of steps I took today.

Does that mean that Clockinfo logs steps in the background?

Is the impact of logging steps significant on the battery life?

Afaik the step counting is part of the firmware and always running. Health & co only display the value. In the case of health the value is also persisted.

Well, if it is always running I suppose that's great, because the battery life is already very long.

Hi - yes, no need to worry about step counting - that's all built in and the power draw from that is extremely small
