Posted at 2015-04-20 by DrAzzy I'm doing it just like you show here: http://www.espruino.com/ESP8266 Soldering the pins in then requires getting soldering iron onto the top of the pins, but that path is blocked by the ESP8266. It's do-able, but considerably less pleasant than the other way around. |

This may seem obvious, it certainly does to me in retrospect...
But don't install the shim before you install the pin header - it blocks you from getting a soldering iron onto the other side of the board to solder the pins on!
