Hello! Thanks for this - I actually once had an idea to do something similar to this as coursework once but didn't do it (though I'd love to use this and, if allowed, contribute). These libre data sources may be useful for you, if you don't already know about them:
- https://openfoodfacts.org - ingredient/supermarket product nutritional, image, etc. data (data ODbL-1.0, images CC-BY-SA-4.0)
- https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook:Table_of_Contents (and when localised, https://es.wikibooks.org/wiki/Artes_culinarias/Recetas, https://zh.wikibooks.org/wiki/%E9%A3%9F%E8%B0%B1, etc.) (text CC-BY-SA-4.0, images CC-BY-SA-4.0 compatible)
Attribution is likely due to the individual contributor(s) for OpenFoodFacts, but you only need to attribute the Wikibooks URL for Wikibooks text.
