also, the pybitcointools library is no longer maintained. the master branch has all the code removed: https://github.com/vbuterin/pybitcointools
looks like possibly an easy fix, just replacing privtopub use and bitcoin.encode use? https://github.com/ethereum/pyethereum/search?q=bitcoin.&unscoped_q=bitcoin.
