Error while trying to create an instance with ethers.ContractFactory()

I am using truffle/ganache and I am trying to create a contract instance that can make read/write calls to my contract.
I am using metamask as my Web3 wallet. Here is the code on my client:

Your contract uses an external library ConvertLib (its bytecode is not included in your contract). So you have to deploy that library and replace the __ConvertLib____________________________ chars with the address of the library (without the 0x).

Thank you for your comment! I found that by using:

const contract = new ethers.Contract(contractAddress, MetaCoin.abi, signer);

I do not need to rely on the bytecode :-). This seems to work

Oh that great, I initially assumed that you were intending to deploy a contract that has external libraries, it's a little pain. But if you already have the contract deployed, you simply need the deployed contract address and the abi.
