Need clarification on compiling uf2

Hi, I’m a newbie, but am very interested in running the pico Mac on my own. I have a pico 2. I understand that the UF2s are different for pico and pico 2 and I will not be able use the Demo.uf2 from the Bluescsi site. I was able to compile and run Umac, but got stuck with pico-mac part. I do wish the steps were a little more detailed and beginner friendly.
I moved over the rom.bin from the umac project but where does the disc.bin file come from ?
I have a disc image in the img format. How do I convert it to .bin ?

What is called disc.bin in the instructions is just a renamed .img disk image file.

You can see the build steps spelled out in detail in https://github.com/evansm7/pico-mac/pull/38/files.

However, I haven't built this for the Pico 2 yet since I don't have any. But I think by build script could easily be expanded to build versions using cmake -DPICO_PLATFORM=rp2350 -DPICO_BOARD=pico2 .. (...) as well...

Well, all I can say is that it works for me with the commands I posted on the OS referenced there.
