[Feature Request] KDE Plasma integration improvment

Definitely not urgent fix/feature- but something that I would appreciate.

Improve KDE Plasma system tray integration so OpenSnitch correctly supports "Shown when relevant".
At the moment, the tray stays icon visible even when there are no active connection prompts or alerts. So it seems as OpenSnitch does not update its tray/status notifier state to indicate when it is idle so Plasma can automatically hide the icon, and only show it when user attention is required (like connection requests, warnings...)

Now it chills there even when it is not needed (which is fine but people can choose that option in systray config) and for people like me who prefer minimal desktop information when apps are idle it is irritating.

I think that we have to integrate the systray icon with KStatusNotifierItem via DBus: https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kstatusnotifieritem/-/blob/master/examples/kstatusnotifieritem.py?ref_type=heads

The Qt widget https://doc.qt.io/qtforpython-6/PySide6/QtWidgets/QSystemTrayIcon.html has no support for the KDE states.

On Fedora exists the package python3-kf6-kstatusnotifieritem which seems to be the python bindings for KStatusNotifierItem.
But I haven't found a similar package on Debian.

Not very familiar with the project code or python lol...but one possible way to detect DE/KDE could be:

is_kde = (
    "kde" in os.environ.get("XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP", "").lower()
    or os.environ.get("KDE_FULL_SESSION") = "true"
)

or/and maybe try to import KStatusNotifierItem and if it succed proceds to use and if it fail goes to backup?

This way OpenSnitch would only try to use KStatusNotifierItem on KDE and would fall back to QSystemTrayIcon on GNOME or other DE. So you don't have to worry about compatiblity- if it's there it would be used.
It should also behave the same on KDE systems when they dont have KStatusNotifierItem Python binding, so it would not affect them.
I think Opensnitch has internal states that could roughly map to KDE tray states:

Idle/no alerts =Passive  
Running normally = Active  
Connection prompt = NeedsAttention  
Error/warning = NeedsAttention  

Now I do not know python well enough or this project but could a code be added and mapped with these states if it detects KDE? something like:

if is_kde and KDE_AVAILABLE:
    self.tray = KStatusNotifierItem()
    self.tray.setStatus(KStatusNotifierItem.Passive)
    self.is_kde_tray = True

and same thing for rest of states.

I believe KDE should by default be able to read states from python3-kf6-kstatusnotifieritem and other packages like kstatusnotifieritem on arch.

So it may be enough for Plasma to correctly respect the "Shown when relevant" setting while working as it is now on non-KDE desktops or the ones without the correct package.

Probably I'm just talkign nonsense but I would be glad if it's implemented somehow down the line :)

openSUSE offers the corresponding kstatusnotifieritem packages, including Python bindings, at least for Tumbleweed:
