[Feature request] Make it easily extensible

I've been evaluating various string manipulation extensions for VS Code, and I was particularly impressed by the clean architecture of this project. The current implementation shows great potential for extensibility.

Would you be open to adding support for custom commands or plugins? This would allow users to:

• Create their own text transformation functions
• Share specialized commands with the community
• Extend functionality without modifying the core codebase

I believe this feature would make the extension even more valuable to power users while maintaining its current simplicity. What are your thoughts on this possibility?

I've released this as a pre-release version of the extension and can be installed from VS Code (not surfaced in Cursor yet but you can install the vsix manually) like so:

First of all, I really appreciate your quick response and the addition of custom regex replacement functionality - it's impressive to see such active development!

That said, I'd like to bring up a particular challenge we're facing with our logging system. We frequently encounter logs containing deeply nested JSON structures, such as:

  "a": "{\"b\":\"b\",\"c\":\"{\\\"d\\\":\\\"d\\\",\\\"e\\\":\\\"\\\\\\\"e\\\\\\\"\\\"}\"}"
}

Currently, manually parsing these logs is quite cumbersome - I have to run external scripts each time to properly visualize the nested structure. And I couldn't find any extension that addresses this specific need.

I want to define some custom functions in the configuration and call them via commands. The configuration format can be inspired by VSCode's Snippets.

Still wanting to understand the context for this. What would you expect this functionality to do as a "string manipulation" extension that VSCode's Snippets can't do.

I want to run a single command to parse deeply nested JSON string, such as:

{"a": "{\"b\":\"b\",\"c\":\"{\\\"d\\\":\\\"d\\\",\\\"e\\\":\\\"\\\\\\\"e\\\\\\\"\\\"}\"}"}

When I select the source string and run a specific command, it should become

{"a": {"b":"b","c":{"d":"d","e":"e"}}}

So here you have JSON stringified and escaped multiple depths. The result is that you want them unescaped and destringified. What if the value isn't JSON? Just thinking though that this is something very very specific to your use case. I would recommend writing a small snippet to parse this out. https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editing/userdefinedsnippets#_create-your-own-snippets

This doesn't really fit into the extensions use cases otherwise.
