I have multiple documents that use myst and
{class},{func}... roles to generate intersphinx links to python objects. I also have{ref}and{doc}ones. Reading the updated docs, concretely https://myst-parser.readthedocs.io/en/latest/syntax/cross-referencing.html#reference-roles (emphasis mine):so I have tried to update them to markdown syntax. I like the new syntax and it is quite convenient, but I don't seem to find how to use markdown/myst syntax instead of roles with custom text and have them rendered "as code". Here is one example:
