Check updates automatically on startup

Thank you for the recent update. The new version of Apdatifier (2.9.5.3) does not seem to freshly check for updates on pc startup which is something that I think it used to do. I would like to use this functionality. Is it possible to bring it back again?

Which mode do you use for automatic checking? Here I explained why I removed this option.

Thanks for coming back to this, I am using interval to check for updates. The issue is that the way it works now causes a new annoyance:

1. Widget updates and shows updates are available.
2. Updates are carried out and computer restarts
   3. Computer restarts and widget pops up and shows updates are available even though they have been carried out already.

The way this now works means that I have to manually refresh the widget every time for it to clear and show the correct current status of updates. I would like the ability to make it work like before, even if it is a separate option which reverts the new functionality which I do not use.

In this case, when the widget starts, we can do the same thing as when the terminal is closed during an upgrade - check the current package versions and remove up-to-date packages from the list. This will be much faster than checking for updates.
