Amharic Word Segmentation

Greetings,

I notice a lot of the East Asian countries have their own custom tokenizer they load on init ie ChineseTokenizer.
For Amharic, is there such a thing? If not how can I build one myself?

Not even sure if I am asking the correct question, lots to process in NLP, noob.
