Motivation

due to the credits, some users can't subscribe to the Claude API, but many of them are using open router.

Pretty sure we'll be going with AI SDK if anything, as it offers Open Router through it (and many other providers).

Seconding this, OpenRouter + Open weight models would be a good way to cut down on cost for smaller tasks, task-based model router tho isn't fully explored in the development and debugging space other than Cursor "model auto select" mode.

well received. it's planned and should be good to go hopefully for next release. I'm 95% done and now I can add new providers/models very, very quickly (open router included)
