Describe the problem you'd like to solve

• In society today, mental health issues have risen a lot but there aren't many platforms that encourage people to paint their feelings whether they are trained artists, natural talents or have only just taken up drawing recently or just want to meet new people!
• I would like to create a safe space for everyone where people can post their artwork, discuss their mental health openly with others without judgement and tag an emotion to the art that they posted.
• The main feature will be a chat box or thread (like Discord) where people can talk to each other and discuss each other's artwork posts, arrange meet-ups where they can click on a specific gallery or space as a meeting point (fetched data from an API)

Who are the stakeholders?

• Anyone who is interested in art and wants to meet other likeminded people, upload their own art, search for their favourite art that inspires them and be a part of an inclusive artistic community.
• Local charities that would like to donate contributions for art events, meet-ups and art materials for our users to continue making art to improve their mental health. 🧠 🤯 🎭 🎨

Other considerations

• A page where users can communicate with each other directly and arrange to meet in person. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑
• This is not an app for people to be rude or inconsiderate about other people's artwork, art is therapy for a lot of people and everyone respectful of others is welcome.

What is currently being done to solve this problem?

• There are online art communities like Behance, Pinterest and DeviantArt but these are global and aren't specifically focused on small groups of people getting to know each other with similar interests.

What technology might be interesting to explore?

• React, Express JS, look into Local Storage instead of using a database and fetch data from an API like ArtPI 🎨 π
