Cachelib build process

Has anyone recently tried to clone the repo and try to build cachelib? Why is it such a painful process?

I have met a lot of problems using the recommended getdeps.py, so I have to switch to manual build each submodule, and I managed to complete all the submodule builds, but then the CacheLib build itself is even worse, it is such a nightmare to fix an endless number of library/code errors... am I missing something?

Can someone share the best-known method based on their recent success build?

Okay, found the best way to do it:

git clone --branch v20240621 https://github.com/facebook/CacheLib.git
cd CacheLib
./contrib/build.sh -d -j -v

Thanks, I'll try this version sometime.
It would be much more convenient if there was a developer SDK, or a streamlined version with zero dependencies, which would be more friendly to third-party developers.
