Changing the path for builtin PASCAL VOC Dataset

I read in the documentation that-

You can set the location for builtin datasets by export DETECTRON2_DATASETS=/path/to/datasets

But, I couldn't understand where do I need to write the above export statement.

Any help would be appreciated.
