how to increase line thickness?

How does one go about accomplishing this with the ErrorDataSetRenderer?

dataSet.setStyle("strokeWidth: 2.0;");

Yes, either that to apply to a specific dataset or DefaultRendererColorScheme.defaultStrokeLineWidthProperty().set(2.0) to apply it globally for all charts.
