Thank you for reporting about the certificate – that's fixed now. (Annoying situation where our webhoster does not provide automated LetsEncrypt renewal, so we rolled our own automation solution, and that is not yet reliable. So every three months we have a little certificate disaster …)

Project is still alive. Will provide database updates about once a year, with the new OpenFoodFacts data. Would be happy to continue with software development as well, but that time is not well invested in the absence of anyone using the app ("10+ installs" on Google Play …). So first thing now would have to be a PR and outreach campaign. That's what I did not expect at all, and I frankly don't have time for that now. Help with this would be appreciated, even simple things like a listing on alternativeto.net and other product platforms.

This is the first mobile app I published on Google Play, so maybe I was naive to expect organic traffic "like when publishing a useful website and people find it". But near-zero organic traffic on Google Play? I still don't get it. If that's normal, then open source mobile apps are much more effort than I expected …

Well, about the near-zero usage could be too a lack of marketing/communication strategy. People need to know that something exists to use it. For instance, does it have an internationalization? Don't give up, this app seems quite interesing

It's not really known at all, so I wouldn't expect many users. That said with Linux Mobile there's potential for it to grow a little bit of a userbase if it's somehow put out there.
