Unable to change Lockscreen image

Just ran the script on a new fresh install of Win11 24H2 and can no longer change Lockscreen image due to message about managed by organisation. Which setting is it in the script that causes this please and how to revert it?

Well, as I was confident before, Sophia has no such function to enable a GPO to block that settings caterory. But I can help you with finding blocking policty inside the Windows registry. I need a remote access via Rustdesk. reach me via Telegram if you want. Looking forward for feedback.

@CosmicSensations, hello. any feedback? As I wrote before, Sophia doesn't block anything in Personalization. it seems you've applied a 33rd part reg script with a policy. but we can find it...

Hi Dmitry, thank you for you generous offer, I haven't had time to do anything further but will try something later in the afternoon today.
One thing I do use is a hosts file, the native broadband tracker from here:-

When I return home I'm going to try another fresh install and run your script without the hosts file in place.

What I can offer: call UpdateLGPEPolicies (it may take you up to 30 minutes to parse all policies) from

I will focibly make visible all applied policies in gpedit.msc created in the registry if you have not Home Windows edition. if so go to these 4 registry keys and look through all created policies manually:

"HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft"

"HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies"

Unfortunately issue persists on another fresh install of 24H2, no hosts file, no changes made to Group Policy before running script.
I have looked at those keys in the registry but couldn't find anything related to the Lock Screen.

I don't understand the instructions about the 30 minutes to parse policies, is there a command I need to run in powershell?

Em(( I don't understand too as I use the same present from the archive. That's why I asked a remote access.
Regarding 30 minutes: I sent a link how call an exact function without necessaty to run the whole script.

If you don't find anything related with policy in those registry keys, that's makes me confused. It's just impossible due to only policies can set such notifications in the Settings app. Still think, that I'd like to take a look by myself.

So no tweakes, no gpedits.msc policies enabled, no reg files applied? Nothing?

only 1 reg tweak applied before I connected to internet to update - "Disable_include_drivers_with_Windows_Updates.reg"

Even with that applied it still (annoyingly) downloaded a nvidia driver - but that's a separate issue...

I can try without that reg entry, be tomorrow though.

The cause is StartRecommendedSection to remove Recommended section in Start Menu. this is legit notification. the investigation is closed finally)
