Strange letter duplication on pressing enter

Minimal example text file:

Aa

Now when I press enter to go to the next line, it will turn into this

AAa

then I have to press enter again to actually get a newline.

Is this some strange feature or a bug?

I'm on version 3.0.6 (Android 10) but I noticed this in the previous version too.

Yes, I get this too, and a couple of other similar bugs when typing in notes
