"display": "color" is not applying

hi, i'm trying to apply the {#bright_green} color to my display color but it just outputs the ANSI color code and not actually changing the color.

did i write it down wrong or is it simply just not working?

{#bright_green} is the syntax for --module-format. You should use bright_green directly.

Were you using the newest version?

2.41.0, only one release behind since im using apt on Ubuntu 24 LTS, though i dont see any bugfixes in the patch notes that would have an issue like this fixed. lemme try this on an arch system and see if that fixes my problem, though itll have to wait until after i get off of work.

found it, it was merged in 2.42.0 in #1694. works fine on my arch system. will close issue now
