Question when used with TPM

Hello,

Thanks for this plugin. A n00b question: 

Unlike other plugins, why do I have to explicitly source the below when using with TPM? Per my understanding, TPM should hook into some start up script by default?

run-shell ~/.tmux/plugins/tmux-thumbs/tmux-thumbs.tmux
