Can I modify a QueryBuilder in a Feathers hook?

I'm attempting to get to the point where I can update a timestamp in a MySQL table with NOW() to leave the formatting and timezone up to the database server.

Modifiers (via $modify) don't look like they execute on patch or update calls.

Can I modify a QueryBuilder in a Feathers hook perhaps?

Disregard. It appears I can do this without much fuss:
