Permission denied: '/data/skins'

I've been trying to get a new 5.x installation of WeeWX installed but whenever I try the steps to establish a new implementation of the docker container, I'm getting the following traceback / permissions error related to what would be a subdirectory in the available data folder.

Compose file:

You'll need to chown and possibly chmod the files in your data volume before you start the container. Which user to use would depend on how you've got your Docker instance setup. If you are starting from an empty data directory, I'd temporarily chmod a+rwx it (give all users read, write, and execute permissions). Once you know what uid:gid you're using you can lock down the permissions to something less permissive.

Thanks Mark, looks like I need to do some reading up on the permission protections in place with my Truenas that prevents me from performing a chmod action. I'm away from home at the moment, I'll try that towards the end of the coming week with any luck + update. Thanks again for the reply.

I finally found the answer to this. It was a dataset setting on TrueNAS Scale that was affecting my setup's ability to write to datastore.

The setting that I needed to change was the ACL Mode (select the Dataset, Click the Edit button from Dataset Details, Click Advanced Options, scroll to the bottom of the list), and change the selection to be Passthrough
