This Guide was created from this GitHub template.

You can see the rendered guide material here: https://hutchdatascience.org/daseh_instructor_guide/

If you would like to use the same template, take a look at the OTTR documentation.

About this Guide

This guide introduces instructors to the DaSEH philosophy and materials. It has suggestions for alternative uses of our resources and guidance about how we logisitically implement the online course and the codeathon.

Learning Objectives

This guide will teach other instructors to:

  • Describe the overall infrastructure of the DaSEH Project
  • Determine prerequisite knowledge and skills for learners to use our materials
  • Identify what material is appropriate for beginner, intermediate, or advanced learners
  • Use the full set of DaSEH resources, some of the modules, or just the data for different kinds of instruction
  • Extend the materials to serve as a template for homework assignments or independent student exploration
  • Modify our materials to create your own website, lecture slides, labs and lab keys, and codeathon resources
  • Recognize tips for logistically planning a similar program like DaSEH
