The NES header is only checked when a ROM is started, not when the directory is listed. Make sure you are using a FAT32-formatted SD card. exFAT works, but it can cause issues. The menu will not list files that are located in the following folders, or files that meet these conditions:
Additionally, the rom file extension must be in lowercase. For example, use This behavior is considered a bug and will be fixed in a future release, file extension casing should not matter. |

I have an Adafruit Fruit Jam. I installed the latest release UF2 of piconesPlus for Fruit Jam and it starts correctly but the ROMs installed do not appear in the directory listing. The file has a .nes extension. The creator of the game recommends Nestopia or Mesen. Why would the emulator not see the games listed? Is reading the header of the file and not liking what is sees does not display the game because of a header or version problem? First time using an emulator to play games.
