[Feature Request]: Add quick bookmarks in background

When sharing a link to Pinkt as "Quick save bookmark" the app shows a fullscreen loading animation. It shows up for just few seconds and disappears, but I find it distracting.

Describe how you think it could work

Would there be a way to make the app push it in the background and show a toast on success? It would make the quick bookmarking process much smoother.

While that could work, it also lacks the feedback for "the action was successfully received, and it's being processed" and could leave users confused without knowing if they tapped the right thing or if the share sheet was just dismissed.

One alternative I'm considering is using notifications, since they could indicate both the progress and the result. I'll explore it further once I get the chance and update this issue once I have more to share.

What about a toast saying "Saving the bookmark..." and another on success/failure? There's a way to show a shorter duration toast, which could be a sufficent indicator. Cluttering notifications seems too much for me.

@nvllz there are restrictions for work being done when the app is not in the foreground and some sort of persistent user indication is required (a toast is not one of them). I'll investigate the options and possibly add an alternative; then, each user will be free to choose whichever one they find less intrusive.

@grrrrr PinDroid was last updated in 2017 and background work on Android has seen plenty of restrictions since 😅 For instance, toasts are not supposed to be shown by background processes, which is why a notification would likely be required (also because of the background process running to save the bookmark).

@nvllz @grrrrr here's a concept that I've been exploring for this:

The work happens entirely in the background, and notifications are used for feedback. As with any type of push notification on Android, you have control over it. This includes being able to mute them completely if you so wish, understanding it would also mean being in the dark about whether the bookmark was actually saved or not.

This is just a first draft, a possible improvement being an action button to edit the recently added bookmark. Let me know what you guys think.

@grrrrr thanks for the feedback. That device is using Chrome, it shows the last app you shared something to.
