Tableland/Textile (OG contributors since even before Filecoin launched) have been shipping interesting tooling that positions Filecoin to become a deeper player in the growing DePIN / Compute landscape.

Most recently, they've shipped Basin, a computing pipeline they've been developing with WeatherXM which:

• Bring open data availability of device data and rewards calculations to help progress toward fully decentralized infrastructure and bring transparency to the dataset.
• Enable verifiable data such that the data is signed at the source, ensuring all data is cryptographically provable with access controls on data mutations.
• A decentralized framework for computation, such as QoD, providing the WeatherXM ecosystem a way to build on top of the data.

Glif is the first Filecoin native wallet, it provides a smooth experience for token holders to manage their FIL. Other than being a great production wallet, Glif wallet team also works with Filecoin implementers closely to actively prototype and support newest features, like FEVM f4 account and transactions. They enabled bridged FIL token with other chains, and allow users to wrap/unwrap their FIL easily all in one wallet!

NFT.Storage Upload API, SDK and NFT.Up
NFT.Storage launched in April 2021, facilitating off-chain NFT data availability across IPFS and the Filecoin network for free. It abstracts the complexity of IPFS and Filecoin, providing a seamless experience for NFT creators and minting platforms. The data is content-addressed, then pinned to the NFT.Storage Gateway, and securely stored in the Filecoin network at no charge. This solution secures the long-term integrity and availability of the NFTs.

The NFT.Storage Gateway is designed to improve the performance and reliability of accessing off-chain NFT data assets that use NFT.Storage and the Pinning API. It enables NFT creators and marketplaces to use the gateway for efficient data access by using NFT.Storage Gateway-specific URLs that facilitate direct retrieval of the NFT content.

Part B. The impacts FNS brought to the FVM ecosystem.

1.Established the foundational infrastructure for the FVM's Decentralized Identity (DID) track. Users can utilize FNS as their WEB3 identity marker to participate in various WEB3 projects.

2.Introduced new traffic to the FVM ecosystem.
The FNS project was launched on March 16, 2023, on the third day after the launch of FVM. FNS attracted over 8000 Web3 users to utilize the FVM network, bringing new traffic to the Filecoin ecosystem.

3.FNS domains can be used as storage accounts, facilitating the promotion of IPFS and Filecoin. FNS innovates the usage scenarios of the DID track. FNS can be used as storage accounts. By integrating FNS with IPFS, genuine open-network applications and websites can be created. Users can store and host websites or applications on IPFS, using FNS for decentralized naming, thereby enhancing the advantages of decentralization in websites and applications.

4.Strengthened the deflation mechanism of FIL token.

• Easy to use: Eastore is quite easy to use. We provide drive like interface for storing and maintaining your files. We aim to provide free flowing UX for users to make and maintain (renewal) files on filecoin easily.

We recently went live on testnet and for past few months we have been working with Filecoin team unblocking various blockers to move our dapp to mainnet.

The FIL-RetroPGF organizers have spent the last week reviewing the nominations submitted in each of the eligible categories. We used the criteria outlined here to determine which projects would be invited to apply in this round. Our assessment of eligibility is based on our best interpretation of the information provided in the nomination but tended to bias towards inclusivity, deferring judgement to badgeholders as much as possible.

The following page contains a list of projects that are being invited to apply to be eligible for FIL-RetroPGF-1 funding.
