FIL-RetroPGF Round 3 - Project Showcase

Introduction

This thread is the kick-off for the project showcase phase of FIL-RetroPGF-3.

Projects that have shown significant impact from November 2024 to September 2025 (inclusive) are invited to participate in this transparent, community-driven process. Whether you've been building infrastructure, developing tools, conducting research, or supporting the ecosystem in other ways, this is your opportunity to gain recognition and funding for your contributions.

Through the generous support of round donors Protocol Labs, Filecoin Foundation and LotusPond Association, there is a record breaking 585,000 FIL allocated to the round.

Overview of Timelines

• Project Showcase: Sept 22 - Oct 6
• Application Intake: Oct 6 - Oct 27
• Badgeholder Voting: Oct 27 - Nov 14
• Vote Collation and Funding Distribution: Dec. onwards

This opening phase provides projects with a platform to showcase their impact on the Filecoin ecosystem and receive early feedback from the community. If you've been building in the Filecoin space over the past year, this is your moment to highlight your accomplishments.

Anyone may showcase their project for FIL-RetroPGF-3! Specific instructions for how to showcase are listed below.

How to Participate?

Step 1. Submit a GitHub comment on this thread – Briefly describe your project below with the following details

• Project Name
• Project Category (Round 3 categories, coming soon!!)
• Brief 3-4 sentence description of your project’s impact since November 2024
• URL e.g. project website or github repo

Step 2. Spread the word – Share your comment on X or other social media, tagging the FIL-RetroPGF and round donor accounts to engage the community and maximize visibility. An example post is given below:

We’re taking part in FIL-RetroPGF Round 3 with @FILRetroPGF! [2-3 sentences about your project and what makes it valuable, especially to the Filecoin ecosystem]
