🚀 Welcome back, PDP SPX team!

In Assignment 2, you’ll upgrade your existing PDP stack to the new Filecoin Warm Storage Service (FWSS) - the foundation of the upcoming Filecoin Onchain Cloud.

By completing this milestone you will:

• ✅ Reset and upgrade your Curio installation to the FWSS-enabled release
• ✅ Reuse your existing Lotus and YugabyteDB infrastructure from Assignment 1
• ✅ Enable Proof-of-Data-Possession (PDP) on FWSS
• ✅ Support Synapse SDK end-to-end testing
• ✅ Show up in dashboards like FS Registry, PDP Explorer, FP Explorer, and the FWSS website

🧠 Important: Data from Assignment 1 is no longer compatible with this release. A reset and fresh Curio install are required, but you can reuse your Assignment 1 infrastructure.

🎯 Objectives

1. System Prep

   • Confirm Lotus is synced
   • Clean out old YugabyteDB data
   • Remove Curio repo and sealing folders

2. Install FWSS-Enabled Curio

   • Clone the latest Curio repo and build
   • Run the guided setup to create a new miner
   • Reuse your Assignment 1 wallets

3. Enable FWSS PDP

   • Attach storage paths
   • Configure PDP in Curio GUI
   • Import your delegated wallet key
   • Verify service with pdptool ping

4. Submit Your Reply Card

   • Once you’ve completed the upgrade, post a reply below
