Also posting my "solution"/workaround again here:

Once I discovered this problem and got the miner balance back up, etc., the failed sectors continued on in the same loop. The sectors did finally restart and successfully complete with no additional errors after I did the following:

  1. Moved the sector files from their location in long-term storage to somewhere not accessible by the miner. The files in long-term storage were the sealed sector files and the cache directories containing p_aux, t_aux, and sc-02-data-tree-r-last-0.dat through sc-02-data-tree-r-last-7.dat. (I don't think this was actually necessary to get them to complete but I wanted to preserve them just in case.)
