Feature: Automatic tagging on first launch

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

Similar to both #12937 and #11992, I thought it might be interesting if Files automatically tagged files. For example, all .docx files are automatically tagged with the Work tag, and files in the user's Pictures library might be marked as Photos.

Requirements

• This proposal will make it easier for the user to make full use of the tabs function
• This proposal will better implement an existing feature, namely the tags.

This might use a lot of processing power, perhaps it's best to add this as a setting in the Settings menu.

That's not what I meant.
I meant that Files automatically, seamlessly, adds tags to all the user's folders and files on first install. #11992 is more like a poweruser tool that adds tags by regular expression, or so I gathered from it.

It could be set up so that if a file meets certain parameters it could automatically tag it

The description in #11992 covers scenarios like this. While we haven't yet decided whether to add this feature, if we do, including an option to enable presets for photos and other file formats is definitely worth considering.
