Feature: Ability to show "details" of any kind to files in a folder

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

There are various types of files, with a broad range of differing "attributes" or properties.

E.g. for videos there are length, "resolution", audio/video codecs, bitrates etc.

E.g. for audio files similar... also with various tags/IDs... etc.

As far as I see, "Files" can more or less only show the basic properties like last changed date, size, type and tags.

I would like to change to "Files" but without being able to see all that details for my various file types, that's a core feature missing here for me.

Requirements

Adding the ability to show various details for all kinds of file types as additional columns. (I guess, Windows Explorer has hundreds of choosable details in it's list - see my screenshots)

I searched if there was that exact feature request - but I didn't find one.

@Josh65-2201 Thanks, I didn't find that... That feature request is about 2 years old and on October 7th, 2024, the label "feature request" was removed as I see it. Is there any hope and/or timeframe, if and when it may be implemented?

There is no timeline on any issue or request. The label was removed due to changes on GitHub, it still a feature request and open to be worked on.
