Steps used to test these changes

1. Launch Files.
2. Open Properties.
3. Go to the Appearance tab.
4. Turn on the toolbar "Show File Extensions".
5. Go to the random folder that contains at least one file.
6. Ensure that the file extension is shown.
   Open Properties.
7. Go to the Appearance tab.
8. Turn off the toolbar "Show File Extensions".
9. Go to the random folder that contains at least one file.
10. Ensure that only the file's name is shown. No extension is seen.
11. Press "F2" button or right mouse click and press "Rename" action.
12. Ensure that file extension is shown.

Hello! I've made an update on this PR as there was a mistake from my side with the naming of the PR and attached task. Now, the new functionality describes correct task, not #16199, but #16635 :)
