Bug: See no files after change the view type

Description

As soon as I change the view type (list to grid etc.), I no longer see any files in the folder. If I then go back one folder, I can see everything again with the previous view type.

If I set a specific view type in the settings, I can see the files in the folder again. If I change the view type again in the top right-hand corner of the quick settings, the files are no longer visible.

Steps To Reproduce

Does restarting Windows resolve this issue?

No, I have this issue since version was released on 2 computers. Both with Windows 11, the other one was on Windows 10 and was upgraded end of 2024.

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling Files?

Glad to hear that! My guess is that something in the database was corrupted.
