Feature: Allow classic windows 10 style contextual menus

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

The new windows 11 style contextual menus which iconize common options like copy and paste force extra clicks for more dev oriented options like "Properties".

Windows 10 style fully expanded menus make it easier to access all options with one step.

Requirements

This will make navigation faster.

Thanks for the feedback, this isn't possible due to it being built for Windows File Explorer and many option won't work. Properties also is an icon and doesn't require anymore clicks then Windows 10 style would have. You can also have shell items in one menu if you prefer in Files settings > General > Turn off Move shell extensions into a sub menu

Thank you so much for your feedback! While we could technically display the File Explorer context menu, it wouldn't provide the best experience. For example, menu options like changing the layout, copying, pasting, creating new files, viewing properties, and sorting are all linked to File Explorer and wouldn't have any effect if used in Files. Plus, there are many unique features in the Files context menu that you won't find in File Explorer. If there's a specific feature you're missing, please feel free to open a feature request, and we'll be happy to take a look!
