Feature: Settings for renaming rules

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

When moving a file to another folder, there is a function to rename it if the same file name exists, but it would be nice if you could set rules for renaming. This would take this app to a higher level.

If the file name foo.txt is duplicated, you could add the date, like foo-2025-05-18.txt, or a sequential number, or chain the same word together whenever a file with the same name appears. It would be nice to be able to choose between prefix and suffix.

Are you aware that you can click the file name in the conflicts dialog and enter a custom name?

Yes, I understand that in the current operation, we can choose to add "-copy" if there is a file name conflict. For my purposes, the minimum functionality is provided. I am convinced that expanding this functionality to expand the options for phrases to be added will help to improve the app.

You can add any text when clicking on the conflicting folder/file name in the dialog. Or are you talking about

1. Selecting a file/folder
2. Clicking copy on the toolbar
3. Clicking paste on the toolbar

I understand exactly what you're saying. This is a great feature. However, I want this process to be done automatically according to rules I can set.
After I've done various file operations, I move the files to an archive folder all at once. I want conflicts to be resolved without my having to think about it. In my case, it would be ideal to have the date added.
