Is there a problem if I continue using the API of version 7.0.3?

Hi guys, I would like to know if I can continue using the API of version 7.0.3, ie the the constructor FirebaseMessaging() and the methods configure(), requestNotificationPermissions(), etc. I would like to stay using that API until February,2022, and then I plan to move to the new API. Am I going to have troubles if I do that? Or I am just going to not have suppot for that old API? Will the app be able to continue working with Firebase messaging service?
